Social Studies Extra Credit

1. Read Blood on the River.

2. Complete the book report form.

3. Chose one of the following projects to complete.

Diorama

Create a diorama in a shoebox of your favorite chapter of the book. Make sure you write a summary of the chapter and glue it on top of the shoebox.

Letters Home

Write 3 letters from the main character's point of view describing what is happening in Jamestown throughout the book. The purpose of the letters is to summarize the book so make sure you include all the main events, main characters, and lots of details.

Newspaper Article

Write a newspaper article (1 full page) that takes place at the end of the story. Using who, what, where, when, and why, tell the story of the main character and the story of Jamestown. Your article must include an illustration.

Journal Entries

Write 5 journal entries for the main character. Make sure the journal entries are spaced so that you can include all the important characters and events in the story.

4. Turn in the project by March 14
