Monster Mash

Task: Create a monster and describe it so well that your partner can draw it by reading your paper.

Directions:

1. Draw and color a monster of your own creation. Make sure to include the body and all arms, legs, or appendages.

2. Name your monster. The name should go on the top of your picture and it will also be the title of your story.

3. Write one paragraph describing what your monster looks like. Be sure to include numerous details because your partner will have to draw it from what you wrote.

4. Write a second paragraph that tells us what your monster does. Describe what type of monster he is (scary or nice) and what its life is like.

5. Type your paper

6. Exchange your papers with a partner. Your partner will draw the monster you wrote about and you will draw your partner's monster.

Grading: You will be graded on neatness, writing conventions, and how well you described your monster.
